Baby food Cerelac was developed by Henri Nestle in the 1860’s to reduce the infant mortality rate. He developed the Baby food Cerelac using the existing nutritional science and technologies. The first product developed by him was called Farine Lactee. Baby food Cerelac has been recommended by the American Pediatric Society, as it constitutes most of the growth nutrition necessary for the whole development of an infant in all the phases from 6months onwards. It also contains iron, minerals like Calcium, Vitamin D, Zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Proteins, Omega 3 and Omega 6.

Baby food Cerelac is available in different stages:

Stage 1: For the Infant in the age bracket of 6 to 7 months old

This baby food Cerelac is for the babies who are 6 months or older. There are three different varieties available, Cerelac Wheat, Cerelac Rice and Cerelac Maize. Stage 1 Cerelac can be given to babies as their first food, as these cereals are free of gelatin and very easy to digest.

Stage 2: For the Infant in the age bracket of 7 to 8 months old

This baby food Cerelac is for the babies who are 7 to 8 months old. But can also be given to babies who are 6 months old. There are two varieties available, Cerelac Banana and Cerelac Honey.

Stage 3: For the Infant in the age bracket of 8 to 12 months old

This baby food Cerelac is for the babies who fall in the age bracket of 8 to 12 months. In this stage the baby food cerelac is available in the flavor of Fruits. It contains real fruit pieces so that babies, who have the ability to chew, get to know different textures and tastes.

Stage 4: For the Toddler in the age bracket of 12 to 18 months old

This baby food Cerelac is for those babies who are accomplished eaters and are ready to try the food other family members are eating. At this stage there are multiple options available like multi-grain and fruits, multi-grain and dal, Vegetables and other variants. Stage 5: For the Toddler in the age bracket of 18 months to 2 years old
